My girls came to me somewhat distressed yesterday evening. {drama queen's galore}
After spending
Excuse me???
They broke out in sly little grins and proceeded to explain.
There was an urge overtaking them.
This weird need to decorate, create, paint, refinish, craft... they felt it couldn't be contained. {why does that sound familiar?}
And yes, they put their little heads together and decided that this new-found decorating angst was solely to be blamed on me.
Here's what I have to say to that my young ladies...
I'M SO PROUD!!!
Just think of all the fun we're gonna have crafting, thrifting and finally getting your rooms done!!
Alright, I'll move on now... :)

Dahlia's made out of paper.
I found THIS one on Pinterest and loved it.
And I saw THIS one by Talitha at Love, Pomegranate House about the time my winter wreath was getting a bit outdated.
Thanks for a great spring idea Talitha!
I used 8.5" x 11" card stock cut in half, then in fourths for everything but the darker center.
In the center, I cut those fourths, which were now 4.25" x 5.5", down to 4.25" squares.
Don't throw away those little strips you cut off to make those squares though, they're what I used to make the very center.
Lots and lots of cones, hot glue, an 8" cardboard circle and one evenings' time cured my empty front door.
I only have one question now.
How well will the paper survive the front porch?
